Three of Maine's top wedding planners work on the exclusive The Wedding Barns of Maine team. Although each planner differs with regard to style and aesthetic, their unifying approach is both tireless and endlessly supportive. Given their extensive knowledge of the barns, grounds and farmhouses at both The Barn on Walnut Hill and The Barn at Flanagan Farm, our planners ensure a fluid and seamless event no matter how large or small, simple or complex. Their uncanny ability to turn a client's vision into a dream-filled reality is what sets them apart as some of the state's best planners. While we certainly do not require hiring a full-time wedding planner, we do ask that you enlist day-of only coordination services, at a minimum, to ensure the most fluid and seamless event. Whichever route you choose, we ask that you select from one of the four planners that works as a part of our exclusive team. Please find information and links to their sites below. Fees will differ in accordance with the chosen planner and agreed upon services.

Paula Cano

Paula began her career in the kitchen, working for New England's top catering companies, where she specialized in event planning. After fifteen years in the industry, Paula branched out on her own, creating A Family Affair—a full-service event planning and design company whose name is inspired by her deep and close-knit family ties. Since its inception, the work of A Family Affair has been featured in local, national and international publications. Paula especially savors working with families on their unique planning experiences. In addition to planning and executing outstanding weddings and events with her talented staff, Paula is constantly creating personalized items to add to her extensive inventory of event rentals and props. A Family Affair of Maine is a full service planning and design firm specializing in artful and inimitable celebrations and is proud to partner with the Wedding Barns of Maine.

Meagan Gilpatrick

Meagan, a hospitality, human resources and project organizer veteran—possesses a unique skill set that facilitates expert, professional design planning and execution. Creator and owner of Maine Seasons Events, Meagan captains a full-service design, planning and event rentals company that specializes in exceptionally stylish and distinctly personal Maine weddings and events. Throughout the entire planning process, Meagan and her team provide outstanding support and guidance to their clients while flawlessly executing their visions. The Maine Seasons Events team celebrates love and the beautiful gathering of family and friends, fancies weddings and treasures the joining of two lives. Meagan's work has been published in many regional, national and international publications.

Lani Toscano

Lani was a summer camp director and dean of students with a side passion for design that evolved, serendipitously, into a flourishing career with the creation of Lani Toscano Event Planning and Design. The full-service firm possesses a sound knowledge of The Wedding Barns of Maine properties and has built long standing relationships with the barns’ preferred vendors, ensuring couples expert planning and design services that guarantee a well-executed wedding of their distinct vision. A life long love of Maine—particularly its rugged, elegant, surprising, comfortable and genuine nature—is central to the firm’s guiding principles. Marrying at the barns, Lani finds, celebrates and encompasses many of those same qualities. Honored to become a part of their clients’ lives, Lani Toscano Event Planning and Design relishes getting to know couples individually and taking part in their wedding journey.
